Kevin Brown Contracts Director
Kevin is a qualified carpenter/joiner having spent his formative years in the industry with a reputable joinery and main contracting business, gaining valuable experience on a variety of domestic and commercial new build and renovation projects. Having progressed through the ranks to working foreman, site manager and contracts manager in his career to date, he has developed considerable experience in managing multi-trade building contracts. Kevin oversees the operational delivery and on-site management of the company’s projects from developing construction phase health & safety plans, programming, progress reporting, managing build quality and general client communication. In addition to carpentry / joinery qualifications he carries site managers SMSTS (5 day), first aid and scaffold inspection qualifications, as well as having a sound awareness of CDM 2015. In his spare time Kevin enjoys golfing, the occasional fishing trip and generally spending time with wife Ruth and sons Aaron and Jack.
Paul Cortese Commercial Director
Paul’s career began in a modern apprenticeship as a Trainee Estimator / Surveyor, studying construction management at Dundee College on a part-time basis. Having gained valuable experience as a Trainee, he joined building and civil engineering firm Clachan Construction (Perth) in 2004 and spent 6 years as a Quantity Surveyor before the company’s unfortunate demise in 2010. During this time he has developed his skills in material procurement, building estimation, surveying and contract administration. More recently, a 6 year spell in Aberdeen with Space Solutions saw Paul progress from Estimator/Surveyor to Estimating Manager and Commercial Manager, gaining considerable experience in both design & build and traditional contracts. In addition to a strong commercial background, Paul has a sound awareness of CDM 2015 and generally assists the contracts team to ensure sound project management and administration. Paul enjoys spending time with wife Shona and daughters Layla and Amalea, sports in general and the occasional countryside walk with the family.
